FLAMINGOS CLUB de Golf – JUST NORTH OF NUEVO VALLARTA: This course was designed by Percy Clifford. The facility also offers a driving range and putting green. Transportation from the Sheraton in Puerto Vallarta is included. Pick up times 7:30am & 10:30 am only. Reservations are not necessary but it is a good idea during the high season. ISLA NAVIDAD – MANZANILLO/BARRA DE NAVIDAD, COLIMA MARINA & RESORT. 3 hour drive south of Puerto Vallarta. Three 9-hole courses, with an unusually long ocean frontage. Elegant hotel and clubhouse. LA VISTA VALLARTA CLUB de GOLF – PUERTO VALLARTA: La Vista is built in the foothills behind Vallarta – it’s rolling hills offer a more varied and vertical terrain and has great views back towards Vallarta. There are two spectacular courses – 18 holes designed by Jack Nicklaus, and 18 holes designed by Tom Weiskopf. La Vista was chosen to host the PGA World Cup Tournament in December 2002. MAYAN PALACE – NUEVO VALLARTA: The new Mayan Palace 18 hole course was designed by Jim Lipe of Jack Nickaus Associates. The golf pro is Altero Jimenez. For reservations call 226-4000 ext. 61517
PUNTA MITA GOLF CLUB AT THE 4 SEASONS HOTEL – PUNTA DE MITA, NAYARIT. This club features eight holes of play along the ocean, and a spectacular third hole with two plays: an island green off the coast when fair weather permits play or an alternative fairway when the weather is rough. This Jack Nicklaus designed course is a private club. Play is by special invitation only. However you may play with advanced arrangements between your golf club and the Punta de Mita golf club. TAMARINDO – CAREYES, JALISCO. 2 1/2 hour drive south of Puerto Vallarta. Described as a “Unique Golf Experience”. The last 3 holes overlook the ocean.
