Frontier switches terminals at Kansas City
If you go looking for Frontier Airlines in Kansas City International’s (MCI) Terminal A on Thursday, July 27, you’re going to be surprised.
The carrier is moving – not from Kansas City, but from Terminal A to Terminal C. The switch takes place overnight on Wednesday, July 26.
The reason behind the move to make things less confusing for Frontier fliers traveling to Cancun (CUN) and Puerto Vallarta (PVR). Currently, those folks depart from Terminal A, and return to Terminal C where the Federal Inspection Service facility is located, the area housing United States Customs and Immigration, as well as the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
With the departures and arrivals’ terminal the same, there is no need to park your car at A, and then arrive at C.
Frontier’s new gates will be located at the far end of Kansas City’s Terminal C.
While Kansas City is clearing up confusion by rearranging airline gates, Cheap Flight News would like to clarify some codes. KCI is what Kansas City International calls itself on its Web site, and in promotional material. MCI is the official code recognized by the airlines, the one you’ll find on your ticket and baggage tags.
